The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre invites you to join us for the Annual MMIR
5KM Walk/Run
Join us on Monday, May 5th, 2025 for the Annual MMIR 5KM Walk/Run at Muskoseepi Park. This powerful community event brings people together to honor and remember our Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives. Registration begins at 4:00 PM, and the walk/run starts at 5:00 PM. The first 150 participants to register and pay at the walk/run will receive a unique commemorative medal.
We encourage everyone to wear red as a symbol of remembrance, and we welcome Jingle Dress Dancers to share healing dances at the Spirit Sisters Rock. A free community BBQ, generously sponsored by the Grande Prairie Rotary Club, will follow the walk.
Let’s walk in solidarity, raise awareness, and stand together for justice and healing.
